Gillian Gaffney

Gillian Gaffney (she/her/they/them) is working as an income assistance legal advocate at Together Against Poverty Society and moonlights as a support worker at a shelter for women and children fleeing intimate partner violence. Coming from English, Irish, and Swedish ancestry, Gillian is very grateful to work on the unceded traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples, where they have lived as an uninvited settler since birth. Gillian has a background in disability advocacy studies with extensive lived experience in the world of mental health and poverty.
