We've just released our annual report for 2019-20. It's been an outstanding year for People's Law School. Traffic to our digital platforms increased by more than half. We delivered our first ever webinars for the public, averaging over 200 attendees per session. And our Q&A service — which provides personalized responses to your legal questions — saw a 53% uptick. Check out these (real-life!) testimonials.
"Awesome service and very prompt reply time. I've used them a few times and each time they were amazing. The info was hugely helpful. Really glad this service is available.”
– Cyndy, British Columbian
“I am the executor for a family member who recently passed away. People's Law School has been extremely helpful in answering my questions to do with probating the will. As well as the other responsibilities involved."
– Ken, British Columbian
"I received detailed information to a legal question...much more information with links and additional resources than I got from another legal service that I consulted. I will most certainly utilize the People's Law School again!”
– Carol, British Columbian
So how did we do it? New content, and new content delivery. (Oh, and our incredible team, of course!)
We saw gaps in the free legal information available to British Columbians. So we acted. We added help on dealing with problems at work, buying a new home, and planning for your future care (among other topics).
We also debuted Beagle, our virtual assistant. It took months of planning, writing, re-writing and coding (Tangowork, Agentic — we couldn't have done it without you) to train this pup. And we're so pleased with the results, not to mention being at the forefront of digital innovation in the legal sector.
Ask Beagle a question — at home or on the go, 24/7 — by clicking on the message icon in the bottom right corner at peopleslawschool.ca or dialalaw.ca, or by messaging Beagle on Facebook.
More than ever before, People's Law School is helping British Columbians take the next steps in solving their legal problems. Check out our annual report to learn more. And spread the word!
